The company was founded by Jacob Jensen in 1958 and is today one of the worlds oldest, most distinguished and most award-winning design studios. The company is represented at museums around the world including 19 products in the collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Timothy Jacob Jensen, son of Jacob Jensen, took over the company in 1989. For many people Jacob Jensen is not a person or a studio or a product portfolio. It is an elegant, super modern and streamlined form language, at the same time universal and easy recognizable. A language originally developed by Jacob Jensen and further developed and carried on to new product types by Timothy Jacob Jensen. Continuing the legacy of his father, Timothy has made the Danish design dynasty into what it is today.
