Prof. Robin King is a world-renowned authority on animation education and the digital animation industry, with over thirty years of teaching and training experience. He was the founder of the famous Sheridan Computer Animation Program in 1982 that has graduated many Academy and Emmy Award winners as well as directors, animation supervisors and senior staff at companies such as Disney, Industrial Light and Magic, Dreamworks, Sony Imageworks and many other leading studios across the globe. Previously, he has consulted, designed and supervised the development of a number of other ground-breaking digital media facilities such as the Living Arts Centre (Toronto), the Digital Content Institute (Taipei), and he advised Centro Digital Pictures on the development of the Digital Media Centre at Cyberport (Hong Kong). Over the past 20 years, he has consulted for government and educational institutions in more than 20 countries across 4 continents. With over 14 years experience in China, he was Chair at Peking University for three years, a consultant to the Communications University of China in Nanjing and has lectured at over 25 universities across the country. In 2001, he won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian New Media Awards Academy. |
